We have been praying and waiting for this day……
I can still picture the day you were born; pink skin, hairy and weighed 4.5kg. You were the most peaceful baby ever. I remember your first week at school; you never cried and everyday you looked forward to going to school, never looked back to see if mummy or daddy were going to leave you alone. If there were awards for children who look forward to school, home assignments, tests, exams I bet you’ll win all.
Today, I see your eyes shinning bright, bold and strong like never before. You are anxious for what the future holds. You are running around with your friends and don’t seem to notice to younger brother; who adores you and the ground you walk on staring at you and wishing you both were graduating on the same day.
My Ty, you have the ability to be great! You are in a position to take opportunities life has to offer. You can do anything you want to do and you can be anything you want to be. Note that you will smash ceilings, another will come, keep smashing. Keep shinning, your light will set you apart.
My baby, always remain faith driven! What your family believes in, our faith, your faith stands you out. You may be faced with challenges and distractions, feel free to think hard as long as you can but nonetheless, hold strongly to what you believe in. Your faith shall save you.
My little goal getter, you are Adaeze, a princess and you wear a crown. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. The path to success is paved with Hard work, sacrifices, early mornings and midnight candles to achieve your goals. Hard work does not kill but will only make you stronger ahead of your future. Do not relent.
Ada’m show gratitude to those who assist you and support you. Always put your best self forward even when it seems impossible. Your family is your greatest cheerleader and will always cheer you on….like we do always.
My daughter, love your yourself unconditionally! It is when you love yourself that you can love another person and in turn, that person (or people) will love you and honor you same way. Pay attention to who you are and don’t pay attention to those who remind you about your flaws. God made you in his own image and likeness. Remember you are perfect in God’s eyes and that is all that matters. Have love! Love triumphs over evil. Be kind to everyone you meet. Forgive easily and in loving and forgiving, don’t loose yourself.
Do not forget that people have their intentions and agendas. Do not forget yourself, you come first.
Eat wisely and like I usually say your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, feed it wisely. Feeding right is an investment.
I love you my princess. That we can sit and discuss topics ranging from science, politics, technology, reproductive health and development issues is every mother’s dream, gives me immeasurable joy and gladdens my heart.
Congratulations and we love you.
