Ever since I started using the SWLP and then its launch to the public in December, 2017, there’s this reminder and responsibility that I have to do as I say. For instance, I don’t follow up with phone calls and chats as quickly as I should and I get carried away with other stuffs. I secretly love to be reminded and hold myself responsible for doing as I say after all, we are all human beings doing our best-falling down constantly, but getting up after the fall, learning is key!
I have learned a lot in the last two years; how to manage my health and that of every member of my family: eat better and stick with a nutrition and fitness routine, manage my finances better and most importantly focus on things that really matter and leave other things behind.
There are other things I have learnt from using the Smart Life Planner that can also help you:
Do less but do better
Early this year, I made a decision that any work that does not align with my goals will be turned down. Actually, by thinning down my workloads, I have been able to improve on my core personal and organisational goals and accomplish more. I can’t wait for the end of the year to evaluate how this decision has affected my goal and overall growth.
Power of fitness routine:
Even though I have been a food and nutrition freak over the past years, I have had an awful eating habit like and wasn’t regular on doing exercises. To be honest, finding a routine and committing to it, is essential to your success. Consistency is key!
Relax and take vacations:
Occasionally, it is okay for one to feel low. Low motivation and energy and really don’t feel like lifting a pin. I’m sure a lot of us feel this way once in a while. If you feel like ‘me’ at this point, give yourself some space to recover. You could take some time off work, share your tasks into smaller tasks or goals and take them out one after the other. In addition, talk to someone who really cares, supports you and wants you to succeed.
For us at SMARTHUB, where we provide resources, programmes and tools to better the lives of people in our community, talking about these things and trying for us to get better in whatever ways we can is in the core of our mission and vision.
Getting smart is a journey. That said is a process.
Cheers!
