Hey everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I did have a beautiful weekend, learnt a lot of new things especially around my business, made new friends and did a lot of cooking. And I survived! I actually ended Friday on a positive note because I closed a business deal on Shea Obsessions. I think I am getting more business friendly.
Saturday started on a lighter note. The weather was perfect for being lazy and I found myself chatting with my siblings for almost an hour on Watsapp. Sometimes, I think I have the best siblings in the world. No fighting, lots of laughs and so much love.
I really wanted to exercise. For 2016, I need toned abs and stronger legs and arms but with the harmattan, I just don’t have that drive. I need help getting out of bed. Maybe during the raining season. Lol.
Breakfast was amazing! Easy to prepare and and yummy.
I had toasts and egg sauce for breakfast. I have not eaten this in a long time and so, I think I am entitled to eat. The trick with this especially for weight watchers is to fry with low fat oil, fry the egg first and then add the vegetables last. Vegetables should not be left to overcook. You can substitute white bread for wheat or brown bread. Roasted Irish potatoes could do the trick too.
And trust me, I had this book while savouring my meal. It was gift from my husband. I love the storyline.
Afterwards I had to do some shopping, house cleaning and assistance with the kid’s home work. And na so Saturday waka pass. So much to do and so little time.
Sunday lunch was rice with fresh vegetables straight from my kitchen. It was so delicious and I got the whole family licking their fingers. I thought the kids would abandon the food because of the vegetables but they didn’t. They enjoyed the meal and asked for some for school lunch. I am so lucky and blessed because I think next time, I will just cook grass and serve. Lol
I had to plait TY’s hair for the week. Her hair was really dry because of the harmattan and so, I had to moisture with water, shea butter and coconut oil just to get it shiny and softer.
And in 45 minutes, her hair was all done! Phew. #thelifeofanigerianmom
I think I had fun, did the chores and I look forward to a beautiful week.
Ciao
