Happy New Year and A Prosperous 2015

Happy New Year to everyone. I have been missing in action and I sincerely miss blogging and being part of the social network. My life has been busy…changed jobs, travelling, work, family…but I thank God I survived 2014. It was an amazing year for me.

For the new year, we pray for God’s blessings, grace and love in our lives. May his presence continue to lead us to do all that he wants us to do and all that he wants us to be….like him!

In 2014, the National Health Bill was signed into law (which is now called the Health Act)  and that gave me a sigh of relief but despite the accent by the president we still have a lot to do civil society and as Nigerians.

The 2014 Nigerian Family Planning Conference took place at the Sheraton Hotel in November was a big success. The youths were actively represented and spoke with one voice. It was fun, lots of freebies including condoms, shirts and lots of documents to read. It was an exciting experience for me because I didn’t just participate, I also facilitated the youth session, presented a paper on building alliance using social media and I was a repertoire.

The general elections are approaching; posters, banners, green, red and white colours are everywhere……guess who’ll be getting my vote. anyway, I am yet to decide because these politicians with sugar, honey coated lips have not really said the words I long to hear.

The Chibok girls, our sisters, are still missing. The campaign isn’t dying any sooner and my prayers aren’t ending. I long for their return.

I look forward to sharing 2015, my life experiences, food recipes, career and my thoughts with you.

Be the best you can be this year!
