VAGINA 101; FOR THE LOVE OF MY VAGINA

For every woman, the Vagina is a very important part of our body whether one is sexually active or not. Sometimes if your Vagina feels good you feel good and if it doesn’t….you don’t feel good!. Scratching one’s private part in public is very embarrassing and not a a good sight at all….crossing your legs and dancing on the chair isn’t better either. Taking care of one’s vagina should be top priority and guess what! I’ll be giving you tips on how.

Do you know that;

  1. Many women suffer from Vaginal discharges, causing discomforts due to its side effects such as bad odours  staining the underwear and itchiness or burning sensations. It is important to note that such vaginal discharges do not indicate that you are suffering from infection or any other problem, and in most cases a simple treatment can help you get rid of this disturbing phenomenon.
  2. The vagina is an area regularly inhabited with good bacteria that can be found in other parts of our body as well.
  3. The most common vaginal bacteria is the Lactobacillus, which helps maintaining the acidity (pH 3.5) of the vagina by producing lactic acid that protects the vagina from various infections using anti-bacterial activity.
  4. The main reason for itches, discharges, inflammations and infections is the violation of the natural bacterial balance and change in the acidity level, which can be the result of various factors such as antibiotics, a too tight pair of jeans or staying in an unsterile environment.
  5. To avoid itches in the vagina it is often recommended to use vaginal wash which will keep the pH level balanced and protects the vagina from infections and inflammations.

The vagina is self-cleaning, which is what makes the vagina the cleanest part of the body and a healthy vagina should never smell bad at all. all that one ever needs to use is plain water, then use her hand to wash in-between the labia to clean away any dirt, dead cells or dry discharge. If you decide to use a Vaginal wash, here are some tips that you’ll need.

5 Tips to choosing a good vaginal wash

  1. Choose wash products  that contains lactic acid with a 3.5 pH level, specifically designed to the vaginal area, that protects it against infections. you could read the instructions before buying.
  2. Choose a feminine wash helps decrease the vaginal discharges and the chance of infections.
  3. products that are recommended by gynaecologists
  4.  Choose a product that is specially designed for you. There are products for pregnant women, menopausal women and women who suffer from high sensitivity.
  5. Products that are safe to use and do not contain Parabens ; chemical preservatives that can cause serious illnesses and does not contain SLS and SLES as well – detergents that may cause itches and are suspected as causing cancer.
