In commemoration of World Cancer Day which is on the 4th of February every year, the Wellbeing Foundation Africa in partnership with Optimal Cancer Care Foundation provided a free breast and cervical cancer screening of over 500 women in Wuse and Garki markets in Abuja. The Wuse and Garki markets screening took place on the 5th and 6th of February 2013, respectively.
I was asked by Wellbeing Foundation Africa to assist at the screening centre which I did with lots of smiles and laughter. It was fun assisting women (young and old) in and out of the screening rooms (tents) and after which they were given gifts (IEC materials, toiletries etc). It was fun all the way…..especially when the Disc Jockey played all the nice songs……I had fun and I am asking myself…..can I wait for next year?
