My name is Jayne Whyte™.

I am a wife, mother of two, development worker; monitoring and evaluation specialist at non-profit and I run a leadership development social enterprise for women and girls; SmartHER.

I understand the need for individuals especially, women and young girls to harness their inner strength and thrive successfully in a competitive world and hence the reason why I founded SmartHER.

SmartHER is a leadership incubator that is nurturing and investing in adolescent girls and young women in Nigeria by providing tools, resources and programmes to improve their life planning, leadership skills and strengthen their abilities to become productive individuals and leaders in their communities.

My latest venture, Smart Woman Life Planner (SWLP) is a planning tool aimed at women like me-women who are dreamers juggling, careers, businesses, family life and personal growth.

The SWLP is an organizational, productivity and growth tool that enables its user to focus on important priorities, remain motivated and accountable. The Planner includes worksheets and exercises to assist people in gaining clarity about themselves and their lives.

The SWLP aims to help people commit to themselves and reflect on their lives and goals overtime. The tool is about giving people an opportunity to have ambitious dreams, take steps and take decisions towards achieving their dreams”. The title was inspired by the Acronym SMART meaning; Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-Bound.

The real value of the Life Planner is that it is not just about your whole life but about the different areas related to you and helps you prioritise those areas. It is a no-date Planner, so it doesn’t matter when you start using it, like they say-whenever you wake up, is your morning. What this means essentially is that it is dateless and you can start at anytime of any year. SWLP aims to help Women live fulfilling and SMARTER lives

I began working on the Planner tool in 2016 and tested it on women close to me with busy lives, including career women and entrepreneurs. After some tweaks and reviews, I officially launched the tool at an International Women’s Day event in March, 2019. Jayne Whyte plans to offer workshops and events centered around the Planner. A portion of proceeds of the book will be shared to empower marginalised women and girls through SmartHER’s programs.
