I have found that I actually get nervous and really anxious whenever my birthday is close. Its not that I am not grateful for my life and the add ons, its just that I am usually overwhelmed reviewing my entire life’s struggles, blessings and strengths. If there is one thing I say to myself every year, it is that I always want to be in good health, fit and look beautifully hot at every age. Usually I am concerned about my weight, my stomach area, my arms, my face and my thighs.
For sometime, I have learnt that maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being in shape is not a difficult thing to do its about knowing where you are and understanding your body. Losing weight seems stressful, difficult and sometimes impossible but understanding what to do, when and how to do things that make up our lifestyles can make the difference we really want in our lives.
Here are four things that work for me in trying to keep in shape.
Exercising: Work outs or exercising are compulsory if you want to loose weight. Exercising can be fun and refreshing depending how you plan to do it. More interesting to note that morning exercises work best. Listening to music or a podcast makes it easier and fun.
Drinking lots of water: Water is essential for the human body. A glass of clean water first thing in the morning is great for the body. Carrying a bottle of water with you can remind you of the need to drink more water throughout the day.
Think and choose your meals before you eat and eating small healthy meals is not a bad idea at all. Don’t over think it but reflect on the benefits of that particular food for your body before you indulge.
Early to bed, early to rise: Switch off mobile phones and computers at least a hour before going to bed. Go to bed early and wake up early to prepare for the day.
Let me know if there are other things that you think are important in keeping shape.
