I hope you are doing great. The 7th month in the year is almost gone and I am sure you are basking in the Glory and Grace of our Lord. I remember January like yesterday and all the wedding preparations (my brothers) just went by jejely without hiccups. Lord, we thank you.

Thinking about all I had set  out to do this year, I must commend myself for not sticking to the list but allowing myself to learn, experience and share in other aspects. For instance, I did not know anything about getting a home or mortgage and how real estate works but I have and that was not on my list for this year. Also, I am reviewing my draft recipe book and started to adjust and tweak the recipes, received an ISBN number and in the process of finalising my book. I was working to go back to school this year but that aint happening….funds are currently not available for that huge task.

My thoughts: I think that it is okay to start something or set a path to accomplish somethings for the year and it is fine to add, subtract or even delete the list at any time during the year. The fact that you have a plan and you are doing something to get ahead is what is very important should make you happy.

Recently, I said to myself inasmuch as ‘I will not kill myself’ not not sticking to the plan to go back to school, I am still working towards that, searching for alternatives and taking short courses. I have adjusted my plans a bit but not totally erased it.

So let us welcome the month of August like we have done to previous months with open arms, joy, laughter and prayers. There is always a new day and a new start to everything.
