ARTS, CRAFTS AND NUTRITION

Some weeks back, I was invited by a Non-Profit to give a short talk on nutrition to a group of adolescent boys and girls from various secondary schools in Abuja who were part of an exhibition of Arts and Crafts and It was an overwhelming and exciting experience. I had expected that I will sit on the grass with these students and just talk, share, laugh and enjoy the experience but it did not turn out that way as the organisers of the exhibition had other plans.

The students were far off from the podium and the Principals, Teachers and members of the education board were closer to the podium and I think it was more of the members of the board, talking and showing off than the students really showing off the skills they had brought to the exhibition.

After the brief talk, I managed to visit the various schools one after the other to cheer them up and encourage them. The students had a lot to show off, amazing skills and talents all in one place.

I have mad love for Arts and I just could not hold myself and my camera!
