IS LEMON WATER PART OF YOUR DAILY ROUTINE?


I am a great fan of lemon water any day and anytime and it works like magic for me. Especially those mornings that I need to be early, alert and have a truck load of deliverables ahead of me. A glass of lemon water makes everything happen. It makes me feel lighter, energised, refreshed and clear headed.

I have made a short list of what lemon water does to the body. I think the one thing I wish lemon water could do for me is to reduce belly fat……that will be awesome! Read the following and I hope you do find them useful.

Helps one to loose weight: Lemon contains pectin fiber which helps to reduce hunger cravings and so the more lemon water you drink, the more you stay away from food and the less weight you gain. Yayyy! That’s how it works like va va vooom…..


Strengthens the immune system and fights viral infection: Lemon contains loads of vitamin C which is really good for the body. Once the body is stressed, the immunes systems drops and so does the vitamins. So it is important that one takes a couple of vitamins after stressful activities and if you notice an infection i.e throat infection (sore throat), few glasses of warm lemon water (or in addition to honey) could make you feel better.


Relieves indigestion and cleanses the system: Lemon relieves symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, burping and bloating. Aids digestion by loosing toxins in the digestive tract and flushes out toxins by enhancing enzyme functions, stimulating the liver.

Freshens your breath: yep! You heard that right! Lemon water taken in the morning freshens your breath, relieves mouth odour and gingivitis. Just do it minutes after brushing your teeth or minutes before. 


Acts as an energy booster: Lemon water provides your body with energy once it hits the digestive tract and also, reduces anxiety and depression. Just the smell of lemon could go a long way in calming your nerves. so I think it is okay to take some lemon water just before you make that presentation….you’ll thank me later.

So what did I miss? I encourage you to make lemon part of your daily routine.
