Its Nigeria’s 56th Independence Day and I am excited. This is not the best of times for our dear country but we are definitely going to be greater, stronger and dependable. For the so many blood sheds, tears and wailings for the soul of Nigeria, we sincerely pray for a country after God’s heart. One country that will stand in unity despite our different tribes and ethnic groups, our diversity, our differences in food choices.

For that baby suckling at his mother’s breast, who has no idea of the fears and challenges the country is facing today, we plead for our leaders to take right decisions and make sustainable investments towards ensuring that every child is safe and the security of every citizen is ensured.

May God hear our prayers for our country and may he keep us all as one. Amen!
