Today is my third day at the very beautiful, serene and lovely Blu Cabana Restaurant and Lounge. Okay, I am not on a holiday or on vacation but on a serious business; I am participating in a strategic communication and messaging development workshop funded by the Partnership in Advocacy for Child and Family Health (PACFaH) project which I am blessed to be a part of and the workshop was facilitated by Portland Communications and of course, they are extremely nice and awesome facilitators. I absolutely love them!
I will do a separate post on what I learnt at the workshop. This post is just to tell you about the venue of the workshop; the BLU CABANA. The location of the Blu , I love the ambience, it has a very natural feeling-very green too, no artificial smell like Izal or Dettol or some sort of local chemical.
The clean restrooms, tables and chairs, the well dressed staff-also polite too, the clean utensils….and food presentation. The fact that there was an ATM machine in the premises and it was working efficiently did put a big smile on my face.
Usually, when I visit places for work or for leisure, I find myself looking for what to take back with me and in this situation, I found myself wanting to take everything with me. The simplicity of the architectural design, the interior decorations and the lovely artworks I really admired.
About the food, now if you are expecting to eat locally prepared dishes at the restaurant, please delete your expectations as soon as you can. Oh well, I expect spicy foods, correct jollof rice or even okro soup but didn’t see any on the menu so I guess most of their recipes are for foreigners or Nigerians who love to eat foreign meals…..definitely not exactly my type of food sha.
And some nice fruit juices too.
I would definitely bring my family here and maybe my mom for a massage *wink*
