The Nigeria Health Watch invites everyone to a special Forum featuring Nigerian volunteers to the African Union’s response to the Ebola Virus Disease Outbreak in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
These courageous volunteers will share with us their inspiration to travel west at a time many others were afraid. They will share the lessons that they learnt and their incredible stories from the field and why it was so important to support our brothers and sisters.
The Forum will take place today, Wednesday October 7, 2015, at the National Centre for Women Development, Opposite CBN, Central Area, Abuja, starting at 16:00 hours prompt.
At last count, the African Union had sent in a total of 740 volunteers, from several countries. Nigeria sent the largest number, deploying a total of 202 personnel to the field. It comes as no surprise then that Nigeria’s role in the response would be critical to the success of the AU’s mission.
This session is the first Nigeria Health Watch Forum, which will bring together experts in various fields to discuss topical issues in the Nigerian health sector, targeting a curated audience of health sector leaders, professionals, organizations and enthusiasts.
This is not one to miss. It’s free to attend but registration is required.
Watch out for me!
