Bimpe Sorinolu the immediate younger sister of former governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti is dead. According to a News source, Bimpe died of Cancer at St. Joseph Hospital, Mare Street, Hackney,London.
Bimpe was a socialite and also the younger sister to the former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose. Many would not forget the lingering spats and verbal battles she and her siblings engaged in with the ex-governor. Her sudden turnaround to dump her old way of life and become an apostle for Christ did not fail to take many by surprise with her reaching out to ladies of easy virtue and her charitable deeds to the disabled through her Non Governmental Organisation called Bimpe Sorinolu Charity Initiatives (BSCI). S he was out of the limelight for a while, many had attributed her quietness to the separation from her husband, Dapo Sorinolu, and the relocation to Abuja with her kids.
Some time ago, she returned from the United Kingdom, where she has been for a while and threw a thanksgiving party — she had reportedly escaped miraculously from the scourge of cancer. she was well and alive after doctors gave her about six months life expectancy, following the discovery of cancer in her breasts, lungs and liver in June of 2011.
