I knew it!, my instincts told me that issues like this would arise and the bereaved women (wives, mothers, sisters) who are next of kins will have another ‘headache’ with in-laws and family members over who gets the compensation.


As tears gradually dry on their faces, the challenge of who gets the compensation; the $100,000 compensation the airline is willing to pay each family is already causing squabbles in some homes. And the most vulnerable are women who became sudden widows, as their spouses died in the tragic flight.





A relative to one of the women who lost her husband in the tragic flight confided in a journalist that the widow’s late husband relatives are already on her neck hurrying her to quickly complete the compensation procedures and bring the money for onward sharing.They also asked her to take them to the late man’s car that was parked at the airport before the crash, Imagine!.  
I have also heard that another widow, who is nursing a child is facing similar harassment.
