Every day of our lives as young people, we walk by faith to some extent. We face difficult times, meet difficult people , face a difficult economy……For us to live, we must believe in something and we choose what we believe in. Faith means to believe. Faith is something we can’t live without, “God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3)

Sometimes I feel let down especially with people I really trust. I expect more and get less, I have cried in frustration when things don’t happen as planned. Getting a job didn’t seem easy……not because you want the best but something to keep body and soul together. Having a perfect partner……because there’s no such thing as a divorce in your dictionary and meeting the right people………..right people, right friends make the world go round.

It is true that we all live by faith  to a certain level, believing that the job will come or a deal will click that will keep you smiling or that your dream man/lady will propose to you and you will say “yes” or you are going to be the luckiest person in the world because your friends, family members will always pray for you and wish you the best without asking for anything in return.In Matthew 9:29 Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be to you”. This statement makes me want to believe in him more.

Sadly, we all have times of doubt. We may not doubt God’s existence, we just doubt his desire to have an immediate impact in our lives. There were challenging situations when we ( my daughter and myself) spent every weekend for over a year, at the hospital. She would be asthmatic and finding it difficult to breathe and I would ask God “where are you?”, -doubting his promises for me and my family…….It wasn’t so easy. But when it was God’s time, he healed her and also healed my heart-to trust in him-alone. Jesus said of any man who has faith should believe in him, “out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). That alone is enough to wash all our pains, troubles, fears, sorrows, hopelessness, failure and doubt.
