Crazy Acts………..Craving Acts

Today I decided to share the funny side of me while sharing my experiences and those of my friends during pregnancy and child birth. Being pregnant for me was not a funny affair, would throw up while having breakfast with my husband (he would also want to do the same),  also did the same while brushing my teeth(nightmare), hated the smell of stew and also find myself putting on so much weight. men it wasn’t easy at all.
Funny enough, I lost appetite for every meal except for Isiewu(traditional meal prepared with the head of a goat, Nkwobi and native soup. getting to eat these wasn’t so easy as I had to look for a loose clothing (you know how stressful it is trying on clothes), fitting flat sandals and drive down with my beau to the nearest restaurant and when I take the first bite I just feel the glory of God upon my shoulders.
I remember on one occasion, people were starring at the size of my tummy, yes, I remember the waiter asking if the meal was for “three”-myself and the twins in my tummy. I just smiled at him while waiting anxiously for my meal(i guess i was thinking about the meal and didn’t ask him if the size of my tummy was his business).
A sazzy friend of mine, when pregnant would only crave for roasted yam and pepper sauce, from anywhere not minding the source; from a road seller, from her enemies…where ever you get it from. it was really fun seeing her act crazy.Years ago, when my sister was pregnant and we were taking a walk and she saw a young girl hawking pineapples (the type they cut and put inside a transparent nylon bag) she stopped her and wanted to buy some. I tried to convince her to buy the full, “more hygienic” pineapple and she refused, she bought and started eating it without waiting to get home to wash it. I thought she was crazy.

Food cravings during pregnancy are different for every woman. find what you really crave for and enjoy it while it lasts, I guess that once the pregnancy is over and you have that lovely baby in your arms, what ever you craved for might be your worst food ever.
